Using Archibou on the web
Archibou gives you access to your files from any web browser. No installation needed — just log in.
Logging in
- Go to https://archibou.cloud
- Enter your username and password (received by email when you signed up)
- Click Log in
The web interface
Once logged in, you discover the Nextcloud interface — the open-source software that powers Archibou:
Browsing your files
- Folders: click a folder to open it
- Files: click a file to download it
- Sidebar: detailed information about the selected file
Uploading files
- Click the + button at the top of the file list
- Choose Upload files or Upload folders
- Select the files from your computer
Creating folders
- Click the + button
- Choose New folder
- Name your folder and confirm
Sharing a file or folder
- Click the Share icon (three dots next to the file)
- Enter the email address of the person to share with
- Choose the permissions: read-only, edit, etc.
- Send the invitation
Sharing via public link
- Enable link sharing in the sharing options
- Copy the generated link
- Optionally add a password or expiration date
Built-in apps
Nextcloud includes web apps for:
- Files: file manager
- Photos: photo gallery with date and album view
- Documents: view PDF, Word, and other documents
- Notes: synchronized note-taking
Tips
- Use the search bar at the top to quickly find a file
- Enable dark mode in your settings
- Use keyboard shortcuts for faster navigation
